Snowy Florida

I've been silent the last two weeks because of an unexpected and last-minute trip to south Florida to visit with family. Although I was offline, I did get a chance to read Dolce & Gabbana's A Thousand Plateaus in its entirety. It was good beach reading. (No, seriously. It was!)

Here are a few things Boca Raton taught me:
  • One can live in a tropical jungle, and (with enough money) still have a snow party under the palm trees. Your spoiled-brat children will demand it every year. And really, what is a Florida Christmas without a few Frostys?
  • Iguanas: cute in a cage, scary on your patio.
  • Fish can jump pretty high. Must be all the toxins in the canal?
  • Canned goods expire faster than you might think.
In any case, I have two new digital projects going on, and have gathered some great new Burroughs resources to share in the next few weeks. In the meantime, enjoy my mad uke skills.

Back with more soon.

Thanks! I enjoyed your song and look forward to the Burroughs.

Also: I'm envious of your highvolume dreads.

High-volume is, I think, an appropriate way to describe them. :)
